Though we now use Boots 'n Boards as our primary tradename, many people
still know us as Front Four. In 1981 we started our store as Front
Four, coining the phrase that refers to the four expert trails (Starr,
National, Goat, and Liftline) on the front of Mount Mansfield.
In 1987 we purchased Boots 'n Boards, another ski shop on the Mountain
Rd. We ran both stores for seven years before consolidating them into
one store at the Front Four location in 1994.
Since that time we have advertised as Boots 'n Boards though we now
incorporate a reference to Front Four in our logo in order to reflect
both great names, and to minimize any confusion that may have been
created by the name change.
By either name, we have decades of experience in the ski industry
and we continue to strive to provide our ski customers with the best
in product selection, friendly service, professional knowledge and
advice.
